What is hypnosis and how to prepare for an online hypnosis session
Hypnosis In Short
Hypnosis is a very natural state of relaxation, that we go through at least twice a day: when we go to bed and when we wake up. We are also in a hypnotic state when we watch TV, drive, listen to music etc. Hypnotherapy involves leveraging this state of relaxation, in order to relax the mind and have access to a deeper understanding, clarity and healing.
TIPS:
- Do not expect to feel hypnotized. Expect to feel relaxed.
- Hypnosis is a natural state. Hypnosis is not about sleeping; it is about being suggestible.
- Trust and say the first thing that comes to mind.
- You are in full control during the session. Everything that comes up is what your subconscious needs the most to heal on the day of the session.
- All you need to do is relax and trust the process.
How to prepare for online hypnosis
CHECKLIST. Please check these steps right before the session:
- Make sure that you arrive to the session on time!
- Make sure your laptop and a pair of headset are fully charged when we begin.
- Pick a place with good internet connection for the session.
- Double check that all devices are turned off and any applications that might be firing are shut down. You do not want to be interrupted.
- Your camera needs to be placed such that I can see your face during the session.
- You have to be alone during the session. If there are others in the house with you, you want to be alone in a room and not interrupted during the session.
- For RTT sessions it is okay to lay back on a couch or even sit on a chair. Just make sure that you are comfortable when you join. Dress comfortably.
- You are very safe in the session, so all you have to do is relax and stay with the process.
- If by any chance your connection drops you will safely open your eyes, reconnect to the session, and we will continue where we left off.
